To ensure the future
of the Carteret County Historical Society and the History Place we
established a new endowment, The
Founders’ Fund in October 2007. This fund is in
addition to the Emily Loftin Endowment. We need to look to the future.
The money you give will always be KEPT IN TRUST. The interest the fund
earns will be used to expand the History Place and make it a stronger
interpreter of history in future years - not now. To date, more than
$17,000 has been raised. There are many ways of giving. Have you
thought of a Revocable Living Trust? Bequests of cash and stock to
reduce your overall taxable estate? Making the History Place the
beneficiary of your retirement plan? Real Estate? Please
help us make sure that future generations will be able to enjoy
Carteret County’s past.
